My wife uses Quickbooks like the other poster. I have friends that use Prophesy, but it is way out of my price range.

Trucking Ofice works great, too, for a small business. Support is leaps and bounds above others. Give it a try.

Profit gauges. www.mygauges.com Devolved by Kevin Rutheford. Figures everything by the mile. Works great for me.

Quickbooks is good if you run all your accounting for your business, including bills, utilities, etc.

if you want something to manage your loads.. and give you mileage... and print invoices... for your loads only, what i mean by only is you can't plug your phone and utility bills into it. but for your trucking side, it does the job at a rate below any other software available for trucking, it's unbelievable.

guess who? Truckstop! www.its-dispatch.com visit the site, i'm sure they'll give you a free demo.

I hope it helps, I can't think of a time other than now that good software is neccessary to run your business.

Probably fully integrated. I use one now for the trucks invoicing and all expenses but need a seperate one for all the accounting. Would like to combine them. Thanks to all for ideas.

For your size, some of the above packages may work quite well. We utilize a little larger program, but number of trucks differ, and we also incorporate dispatching into our system. If you are interested, or anticipate adding on more equipment in the future, I would be happy to speak with you regarding our choices.

Best of luck to you with your options!

Hello,

If you can go for a cloud-based accounting software tool, then know OneAccounting Software. It is a cost effective option for the small business owners. As it an online software system, one can access it from anywhere.

Talk with Calvin at regattatransportation.com He made a real good database that will also do accounting as well. Only $45.00 I put it on an external hard drive and carry it with me, use it at the office as well as on the road.
