It is a landscape supply company. They used to have an account on here but it has been deleted. They currently owe me $1550 and owe another company I know $4250. Both accounts are extremely past due and she keeps giving us both the run around. Just wanted to give everyone a fair warning. I have heard other carriers say she took forever to pay them since we got involved with her. ITS A BAD DEAL. They seem nice, but nice doesn't pay my bills.

There is no game TODD. What is going on and has been going on since 2009 is a DEPRESSION. We all try to do the best that we can. Yes we have falled 60-90 days on invoices BUT WE PAY THEM. The company that you are referring to that we owe $4000 to had a check cut on Friday. YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO HAVE A CHECK CUT AS WELL but then you turned into a JACKASS!!!

You owed the company I was refering to since April. Unless your calender is different than all the rest of us, that's a tad over your 60 to 90 days. I have every intention ot taking care of TODD.... you see..... the problem with Todd is that when he was attempting to get me on the phone for over 30 days I was either up in the Carolinas because my uncle continues to have heart attack after heart attack................... or I was out on an installation. The messages from Todd got uglier and uglier..... he became more vile and threatening with each call..... speaking to sales clerks about confidential information they had no business even hearing........ he had my one 20 year old in tears with his attitude....

It really doesn't make any difference if the guy is an azzhole or not....he performed a service for you and you are required to pay for said service. I'd venture to say Todd's a nice guy untill you pissed him off. Just pay him what he's owed. I can't imagine any company having the balls to use the contractors as a bank. How would you feel if you worked for someone (and incurred an expense doing so), only to to not get paid...you'd be pissed too! I make it priority one to take care of the bills first, family is of the most importance to me...if an emercency comes up, I make sure my help is covered if I have to be gone.....it might mean afew late nights doing bookwork and writing checks, or asking someonelse to do it for me....but it still gets done.

We did 2 loads for her COD with no problems, so we gave her some credit and got taken advantage of. This is her way of doing business. Too many people have just "written it off". Todd, I too lost 2 trips which were about $2900 and the same game as you described occured. They were nice, Mama is in NC is in the hospital. Got check made out and it should be to you tomorrow. Should I continue? People at Indian River Courthouse were well aware of this person (Shelly). I done the math and it would cost me more to collect than $2900.00 and days on end to do it. Also a buddy of mine got stiffed for one load. I am sure there is a federal law against skinning people who can't do anything about this. I hope I get enough views to inconvience her to find someone else to skin besides truckers.

She has been getting called daily from our collections agency since Oct. I know of a bout 7 or 8 trucking companies that she owes and refuses to pay. She claims that she has sold the business, but I can find no evidence of such. Even if she has, the new owners are responsible for her debts. She did NOT file for bankruptcy as of yet. Her court record is just absolutely sickening. She has a history of years of not paying her bills and taxes. It quite simply amazes me that she is alowwed to stay in business.

Ok.. If you have to hire an attorney.. And she owes you let's say 5000, you can sue her with attorney fees and court cost paid also by her. So you would get your 5000 plus get all other expenese paid. Now if you do start with an attorney, get other guys, it looks like quite a few and go class action. Or I don't know the max for small claims in Florida, but you can go that route. If she doesn't bother to show up. You win normally after 30 days.. Then what you do is get an order of examination.. That is a court order that she will have to show you all of her books, so you can find out where you can recoup your money. I'm not sure but I think if she doesn't show up for the order, she can be arrested. And if you really want to get her panties in a wad, and can't find the money to pay you.. This is great.. You get a court order, where the marshals office puts a man on her business and any body that buys something, the money never reaches her, the marshal takes it until your court order is satisfied, plus she has to pay for the marshal for his time..now wouldn't you ,if you were a customer want to know why the cops are there taking your money.. It's called pay back is a bit*^. Now again if you do go to small claim, go with the maximum allowable, so if she owes you 5000 and the max allowed to claim is 7500 let's say.. The 2500 is for damages or punitive charges .. And don't forget to file with the court the added expenses.. She may owe 8-9-10 thousand depending what your expenses are .. Court fees, if you talked to attorney.. His fees etc. if she is like this to you.. Imagine what she will be like in court.. And attorneys can't show up... But make sure she is the owner of the company, or find out who the owner is.. If different he may not even know she is doing this. All I can say is GOOD LUCK..

I USE A GENT NAMED PHILLIP MORRIS. 214-613-2397. HE HAS DONE VERY WELL FOR ME. HIS RATES WILL VARY DEPENDING ON THE CIRCUMSTANCE. I HAVE WENT THE ROUTE GOING THRU COURT BUT IN NEBRASKA ALL YOU GET IS A JUDGEMENT THAT SHOWS YOU WON. BIG DEAL. THE JUDGEMENT IS WORTH LESS THAN THE PAPER IT IS PRINTED ON.

Just thought we would chime in as well. They nailed us for $1500 in November and almost $2500 over a year ago under a different name and dispatcher....our system did not catch the issue until it was too late. They never answer the phone and they never return emails.....I am ready to go down there and start loading up product and dare them to stop me..... Has anyone gotten paid in the last 60 days? Everyone needs to contact the suppliers that they picked up from and let them know what they are doing and get them to stop selling them the stone.

They tried to get me to haul last fall under a different name also. I was sceptical because the load description was exactly what I had hauled to SMG. I told them I could haul it, but becasuse of SMG, all rock yards must be COD. I immediately got a nasty email about how it wasn't nice to talk junk about other companies, and that they would not pay COD. A day later I got a nasty email from Shelley abut running "MY D@$K SUCKER"( per her ladylike mouth). I new right off the bat something was fishy. Sorry that she got you again. You can't hardly even get one of my trucks to go to FL now. I don't need the cheap stuff out of there anyway.

Well Mr Brown,
All I can tell you is this: If you bought this fine establishment from Shelley, Clyde, or whomever really owned it, I feel sorry for you. There is a ton of bad publicity for your address and phone number. The girl you have managing the place is the same that was there before, and I know that Shelley is still there on a regular basis picking up messages. We were told that by an employee. Also, I'll have to contact a FL lawyer on this, but in the state of NC, if the business that you purcfhased did not file bankruptcy, (which SMG did not) the new owner is responsible for the old owner's debts that are afilliated with the business. That would be you sir. I currently know of atleast 9 conpanies that Shelley owes money, and speak to most of those on a regular basis about plans to collect. We have not forgotten, and after the way we have all been talked to by her, it is purely a matter of principle now. The money no longer matters.
This is a small world sir, and this thread was buried even with 15,000+ views. You have now brought it to the top of the page again. Good job. Threaten me all you like, but don't call us when you need a load. I would be suprised if anyone would even haul to this address, affiliated with Shelley or not.

If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably isn't a chicken. I don't think anyone who has seen any part of this thread would haul a load of anything to Vero Beach FL. Even if it was prepaid in cash and delivered by singing clown. Mr Brown, no one here has slandered you or your gravel yard. It was just a posting that the business currently operarating at this Vero Beach FL address has changed to Mountain Stone. Same address and phone number. I never said if the ownership had changed or not. I actually found this out when I got a call from a business the has sued Shelley for a large sum of money that was owed and won the judgement.
I was informed by this person that Shelley has now crossed a threshold in the FL legal system. She has now surpased the $55,000 mark in liens and judgements. This means that anyone who sues her and wins from this point forward, HAS to be paid. Anyone that she owes, please take note.
As far as you are concerned Mr. Brown, I do not know you nor do I care to. My trucks will not ever deliver to this address again and ALL landscape yards are now on a COD only basis because of this matter. I don't know if you knew about this mess when you bought the place or not. I continue to hear stories from companies and individuals that got screwed. It seems you may be one of us. You sir have rekindled a fight that has been going on for a long period of time with alot of players. We have all been doing our homework for quite sometime.
As far as "slander" is concerned sir, good luck with that.

recently took over an existing site that was just about vacant
Shawnasie is my manager and what with the previous company that does not mean a thing she is not an owne just an employee

Your first line refers to a list of haulers that you got from SMG and you refer to him having a bad experience with the "PREVIOUS". owners. Yet you claim that you "DID NOT" buy SMG? Sir, we may all be stupid truck drivers, but we are also business owners. We can't be that stupid.
You reopened this can of worms Ed. You could have sent me a nice email explaining your side, but you decided to come on here in a public forum with an immediate attitude, stooping to Shelley's level. What exactly did you expect????????This matter has put Shelley out of business (along with some other things I have learned but won't disclose). Personally, I don't care if you bought SMG or not. I for sure wouldn't have, and for sure wouldn't have reoopened a rock yard in that location with her reputation living there. But, that's my opinion as a business owner of 14 years.

Mr. Brown: you may be a very innocent person in this big problem.. The last person, or company that had the phone number and the address that you currently have... Be in the exact same business that your in.. Didn't pay their bills. Now if I were to look at this.. As a person that was owed money.. I would look at it with fire in my eyes.. That somebody just changed names, to try to evade paying people.. If I had done the same as you. With being a very innocent party who just happened to get into this hornets net by pure accident.. I would feel the same way as you do.. Going on the defense.. Maybe if you gave us a few minutes of your own time.. And tried to give those owed money to the true culprit.. May be the biggest PR project that you could ever do.. Plus it would help getting your product moved in or out of your business.. As everybody here would love to move it.. As long as they got paid.. And hopefully you are a great businessman .. I'm sure that you never expected to be put in this position.. But unfortunately that hornets nest has blown up, with you in the middle.. Hopefully you are not involved with the people that owed all of this money.. And with you down in Florida, could possibly just help those that were not paid, at least a trail to the old owners.. I'm sure that if somebody that didn't pay you.. That you also would have the same attitude as these small companies.. Then this very large and growing fire could be put out.. And hopefully start on a more positive note.. These small companies try to give the best of service.. But do need revenue to be able to stay in business.. Any and all help that you may be able to give to the where a bouts of the prior owners would be greatly appreciated. This is just my thought on this and no body else's.. I just hate to see things like this from happening.. On both sides

Mr. Brown, as these are the legal definitions of both slander and libel. You can now see that legally Mr. Rennix is not guilty of slander as you have accused him of. As far as you denying the purchase of SMG Corp, that may quite possibly be. If Mr. Rennix's statements are true that you are indeed operating your business at the same address, same phone number, and are doing business with their name as an alias or aka. Then the statement that Mr. Rennix made is indeed true. If you are using the same management that was managing the previous company or tenant of the property that you now operate your business in, then in a court room you would end up being accused of conspiracy to commit fraud.

If you are indeed what you say you are, an honest businessman who found a good location at the right price. Then my advice to you is to distance yourself from the previous owners/tenants of the property post-haste. That would include any of the previous management. I have bought and sold several companies and whenever the previous management had any taint or stink on them, I would terminate them as fast as possible. There is an old expression that bad news travels faster then good news. In the trucking world you can magnify that by 100 fold. Each and every trucker or owner in this community that is nationwide knows about this incident. It would behoove you to get as far as way from the previous owner(s) ASAP, as they may drag you into the stinky lawsuit pit that is presently going on.

Having worked in law, let me let you know that if an attorney believes that he can draw blood (money), he cares not where he gets it from. I hope that you sought legal counsel and did your research before you established your business at the current location. It is awful hard to stay in business if you have nobody to haul you freight, unless you have your own trucks. I also recommend that you change your phone number or anything that is associated with the previous business. If you fail to take these kind words of caution, just remember this: I TOLD YOU SO!!

If you are really part of the problem then it will show up. It always does, people that steal from others can't do it forever. They end up forgetting to cover their tracks and their house of cards will collapse.

Check out the dates of business on these two companies, one folded and the other just started this year. Name looks pretty close as well. Execute caution and do your due diligence so you don't become another target.

Lets just look at this and evaluate. You currently operate a landscape supply company out of the same address and use the same telephone number as the "previous owner". The previous company was previously known as "Stone Mountain Gravel", then later as "SMG of the Treasure Coast". You have now opened up as "Mountain Stone and Gravel" Same address, same number, same employees. Essentially the same name, just the words have been rearranged, again. Now, how stupid do you really think we all are. My four year old has harder problem solving skills tests in preschool. The ducks are quacking up a freakin storm here.

Every one that has posted on this forum has been on my side of this exept you, and the "deleted user". We all know whom that was. You have continued to make yourself out to be the "current view of a recently passed by horse" since you started striking keys and clicking "post".

This post has gained another 1000+ views since you started it back up and has remained on the top of the page again. It is by far the most viewed and posted on thread on bulkloads. Everyone on here knows of this one and talks about it. We continue to get calls and e-mails about it. Oddly, none of which have come from you. I was even called by the bulkloads staff about this on Friday. They said you had sent multiple e-mails to them claiming that you had e-mailed me and had called me trying to get me to remove this, and also threatening to sue them. I assure everyone here, that Mr ED has never attempted to contact me in any way. Not an e-mail or a phone call, and as you all know, our numbers and e-mails are easy to find. It is how we all do business. I assure you if a number from Vero Beach called me, I would break my finger swipping my screen to answer it.
We actually called your business a few weeks back, trying to get a hold of Shelley. The girl that answered the phone couldn't tell us who owned the business. She told us what she did know and we left a message for Shawnesie to please call us back. This never happened. This could have been smoothed over then, and she could have talked to my office manager. I wasn't the one who called and her number was the one left.

I assure you Mr ED, you have done more damage to yourself, your reputation, and the chances of getting anything delivered to you business, than I could have ever done. People have seen what kind of person you are in your own words and actions on this very site. ( the largest and most used site in the bulk industry) I might also add that in my opinion you act almost identical to the previous head of operations at your current business address. I have no doubts that a telephone conversation with you would go in about the same fashion.
I am done with arguing with you sir. I don't know if you bought SMG or not and personally don't care. I didn't know you existed, along with everyone else, until your hostilities started last week. You are the one that has now introduced us all to yourself. I for one would regret my introduction if I were you.
SMG is no longer in business, and mine is thriving. SMG hurt mine so bad that 1 year after not being paid, I am getting ready to head to Ohio to pick up my brand spanking new, custom built EAST dump trailer. We never even missed the money, and I probably gained business from this thread.

Mr ED, this is a small world, and people from one ocean to the other have seen this. Google searchs will now show this, and any lawyer would laugh at your claims. You have lost this one sir, and it was your own doings. A different attitude to start off with would have gotten you better results, or even some sympathy. I for one am done with this matter. I don't want an apology, and don't expect one from me. You started this fire back up, and I am walking away from this the bigger man.

As for anyone wanting an update, no one that we have talked to has been paid. I have been informed by another that that sued SMG for a substantial amount of money that they were owed, that they do get payments made to them monthly now, and that if I or anyone that I know is still owed money to file suit. SMG has now surpased a threashold in the FL court system of $55,000 in judgements, and must now pay or go to jail. We have not yet filed, but it will be done soon. I have been too busy to mess with it right now.
Good lucjk to you all in your business ventures, and I hope that every single one of us has learned some thing here. Thanks to all for keeping SMG"s lot "almost vacant". This worked exactly as it should have. (some folks needing our services should take note)

Let me just kick a little note on here to you ED. I have a very large list of customers that are VERY happy with our services. You aren't going to hurt me. However, you sir have only been in business for 6 months. We ran Shelley out of business in 6 months. No one would haul her loads, and it sure is hard to sell and empty yard. You sir may be commiting business suicide by messing on here too. This is not a threat sir, it is a fair warning. You might ought to think about your actions.

No matter if a driver or company owner becomes an ASS due to your non-payment, the fact of the matter is owner/operators have bills to pay and you have no right to refuse payment.

I am glad they posted on here about your company for non-payment. As an owner/operator we can't afford to wait 60 to 90 days for payment. We pay cash for fuel and rely on the companies we haul for to pay us in a timely fashion. Depression or not, if your company cannot afford to pay for the freight to be moved then don't hire someone to haul for you.

It is companies like yours that cause good hard working men and women to go out of business, lose their homes, their trucks, etc. PAY up or get out of the business of hiring drivers to haul for you!

She never paid any of us. When we went to sue her, she had well over $72,000 worth of judgments against her and the business. I cannot confirm, but rumor has it she is either married or in some sort of relationship with this Edwin guy and changed the name to Mountain Stone and Gravel. In my opinion, he acts no better than she does, and is just as vulgar.
I have a client that's office is just up the road from their retail lot. I know alot about what is going on there. He even knows someone that used to work there. Its a really small world. Some people should learn this. I 'm not the only one letting folks know.

Not only does he owe my company $23,537 in bad debt dating back to June 2012 he also is a coward. He refuses to even talk on the phone. Some of the other clown's that you will deal with over there that will jerk you around include Chaka, Victoria, Audrey. These people still have the ball's to email quotes over to us when they owe almost 25k!!! I wonder if these people get their pay checks on a consistent basis when the guy can't even pay his freight bills.

According to this website, we are not the only ones he has ripped off. They ask for credit that they have no intentions of paying back. After speaking to a few of his customers, they have mentioned his shady business practices have caused them to not use recycling revolution.

Same company, different name. Mr. Ed Brown is in some sort of domestic partnership with Shelley Griffin. I have pics of the ceremony. He is honest about the different address though, they moved next door.

it does not matter if someone is a jackass, you pay for the job that was contracted. otherwise find a different jackass to string along. ive got a few brokers who tell me off from time to time, but they know how i run and they know its worth it. or find a rookie with a lot of "ums" and "idk" have them do it cheap and not know wtf is supposed to be done. theres my 2 cents worth.
