I am brand new to bulk loads, and would love to find out how do I quote hoppers? Please advise.

Thank you

I'm not entirely certain what you're asking, but I'll try. If you're a carrier, make sure you're logged in. On my computer I have to log in almost every time I use this site. Then go to loads- there's several ways to search for loads on here, either by origin state, destination state, selected origin to selected destination, and vice versa. Once the list pops up, simply click "view" on the left side of the board and call the number listed.

Now, if you want to, you may also post a truck as well and I guess hope someone calls, but depending on where you are you may not find that to be the best method. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more specific questions. Good luck!

Mr.Nussbaum,
With respect the loads that I have seen you post, the rates are WAY to low. I respect you asking the question. You are more than welcome to call me if you would like my "opinion". It doesn't mean I'm right or wrong, it would just be my 2cents worth. Anyone with enough intelligence to ask for help deserves help. If I don' t answer leave a message I typically don't answer calls that I don't recognize the number.

Actually my name is Indy. I am just using Bills board to learn about bulk loads and see if I can get into the business. My question is how do you guys do pricing? Is there a special tool? Or should I just ask the drivers?

Just for the record, I have hauled for Bill himself quite a bit at some very good rates. I don't know this person, so can't comment but would recommend Bill any day

If you don't know how to quote hoppers its a piss poor time to jump in. the rates suck, the brokers want to base everything off the fuel and the retards are hauling the cheap shit. But good luck.

no, I didn't haul for the rates on here. The loads I hauled, direct from Bill not Indy, were at 5 dollars a mile and up.

I'm with Mr.Lewis.

I would however like to know Mr.Dirks, If "Bill" is such a stand up guy why would he allow someone else to sully his name by posting loads with these rediculous rates using his account and his name? Does that make sense to anyone?

Art p is right. I have 2 tractors and hoppers and I will not pull anything if I don't get $4.60 one way or $2.30 loaded both ways. I have more than enough work
I and my driver both have families and bills. There are a lot of tractor trailers sitting. They are broke. I have been at this for 31 yrs. dependability is what people want.
I had a broker offer 26 lb flowers 100 miles offered 55 per cwt. That doesn't work

Art, I don't know the situation between Bill and this Indy, nor am I going to sit and argue it. I was only speaking a word on how I have worked with Bill and have been treated great.

We won't haul for any less than $4.50 per mile one way or $2.50 per mile both ways loaded. Truckers deserve to be paid fairly for the freight we haul. These guys that are hauling loads for dirt cheap are setting themselves up for failure. With the price of insurance, tags, permits, and upkeep on a truck you cannot afford to haul for a fair rate.

These truckers hauling for less are setting a precedence with the brokers and shippers who will take advantage of them. Be warned, you can't last at dirt cheap rates.

Meant to say, "you cannot haul for a cheap rate".
