i no im going to open a can of worms here on brand loyalty but any body
running the Travis rounds how they holding up are they close to the quality of a mac half round I'm looking for a spread axle round just wondering their quality and durability more familiar with the mac

I talked to a salvage repair shop about both he told me the mac cracks worse

trust me on this I've owned both still have a 2008 Mac high-sided Rim trailer doesn't have a crack on it way more stableMac built the best in dump you won't regret getting a Mac

I shouldn't have used the text should say round bottom trailer my Travis cracked at the top rail on both sides at the tailgate support and at the nose of the trailer where the beams are welded to the tub fix them once a month my 08 Mac don't have a crack on it

Might want to look at the East Hybrid. I have one that is 9 mos. old, and just ordered another one. They are not much heavier than the Mac, and you don't loose near as much volume capacity. Plus East hasn't had the crack problem that Mac has. The one I just ordered has a 3/8 liner, lift axle, and duals. It is only supposed to weigh 10,300.
i have never even seen a Travis half round. |

Travis half round is I believe the old Amercian Trailer design. I believe I heard at one time that Travis had bought them out. From what I rememeber the American Trailer had cracking issues. Travis may have improved up on the design and resolved any issues.

I stand corrected it was Alumitech that they bought.
