Fracing companies not working due to low oil prices.

OK no money in oil right now. All these fracing companies have frac water tankers with no work. Maybe this can work. Hauling water to CA from all over where there is plenty in rest of county.CA can pay for water from everywhere else. Then when CA gets their water plant up and going(desalting plant),instead of dumping salt back in ocean. Sell it to other states for winter roadsalt. So truck water in,then truck and train salt out for profit. Would like feedback on ideas, please. Maybe this can work.

Interesting business idea, but why would anybody want to pay for salt from CA, when they can get it from resources in the Mid-West, UT, down in the south. Nobody hardly wants to goto CA in the first place. The majority of us just wish they would succeed from the Union and become their own little nation. That's what they think anyways. That is just one of the flaws that I see with the idea. The expense is another, I was looking a similer idea in Gulfport a few years ago that also involved creating electricity from the desaltinization plant as well. We ended up doing it in El Salvador because our government was so restrictive and wanted us to spend about $200 million to prove that the idea would work. We felt we would be money ahead testing it out there. We are still three years out of knowing the results, but sometimes investments take a little longer to pan out then anticipated.

Thks for your input. Justed like everything else in trucking ,only government stands in way of betterment of everyone everwhere.
