I have been on the phone with them as they message back and forth about loads. This is a GOOD thing. I get updated info at the drop of a hat. Just my.2 cents for what its worth.

It is true, yahoo IM and other Messenger services like ICQ work great to get information instantly while on the phones, if you are not using ALL of the resources available to you then you will miss out these days. I can be talking with the driver and the customer at the same time to things worked out and have information to the driver as I receive it.

" Very true, things happen so fast these days, having instant access to available opportunities is the direction everything is going, I'm not saying I like it, as far as I'm concerned I miss the actual phone calls to and from shippers but the I'm told I NEED to keep up with the times. I can recall spending hours at a booth in a truckstop calling local shippers, brokers etc...., not that the wasted time was good but it went a long way towards feeling like you had a good relationship with that shipper/broker. Oh well thats my flashback for today, that being said, I guess technology has its place but feels like the world got itself in a big damn hurry and if you dont keep up you fall behind. Geez, I got myself a little off track again LOL.
