Does anyone know how hard it is to get ddg out of a dump trailer in the summer time. Id have to dump it out the coal shoot. Ive got a mac half round with a liner. Thanks

Not sure on the coal door part, dependent on how wet they are when you load. Out of the tailgate is no issue, they dump better than hoppers when using the full tailgate. Your weights will be the biggest issue as it's more volumn than weight. I would expect to see the net tons around 21-22 versus the 25-26 that you are probably use to

I run 2 mac half rounds with liners. You will have to poke it a little to get it started but then it runs out fine. Capacity is going to be an issue one of my trailers is 68 " the other 72 " Peoria both will get 24 ton Sauget the short one only 23.75 ton.

As long as it does not sit on the trailer too long it will unload thru the chute no problem. Leave it on the trailer too long it will turn into a brick and you will be there for hours.

Big trailer day or two on trailer no problem.

I don't pull a half round but I always pull over the pit and pop the tailgate and let all that fall off then close it back up and run it out of the chute. This method really works well with DDG's and midds and other light products that pile up to the top of the tailgate. I also have no problem getting weight on but the trailer is a 42' x 102" x 78". Hope this helps

BINGO ^^^^^ What he said. I have a traditional square bottom dump and a half round and not had much of any problems other than net weight (a little, no biggie).

We went to East Hybrids last year, and pretty well knocked ourselves out of the DDG market. Like the other guys have said, pop the big door first, and i always dig the load back about a foot or so. Close the door and lift her up. Don't be scared to get into the 5th stage either.
