Investing in Lotto tickets is a better deal than getting into the hopper biz right now.

Walk away from the hopper right now unless you like bouncing lots of miles for nothing, running at really cheap rates. The farmers have had a bad year and are out running hoppers and trying to make up the difference with their hoppers. If you enjoy sitting around waiting in lines to get unloaded, not getting paid for it, and everything associated with running 25T or more all the time. This may be the place for you. I have a 40' X 78" X 96" Timpte with remote control traps that I would be willing to let go for around what I owe on it. I would then go and buy myself another dry van and remain profitable with it. I parked the hopper a few weeks back when the rates continued to plummet more and more.

Did I say walk away, sorry I meant to say run away from the hopper.

Guys the hopper is on standby for an Owner Operator that is coming in that only runs hoppers. I am sorry about the confusion if I were to really sell it then I would place an ad in the for sale side of this site. I was being sarcastic to let the guy know not to enter into this arena at this time, my hopper made me enough money last year that I can afford to just let it sit until the market comes back to where I need it to be, or like I had previously stated an Owner Operator who would not do dry van wanted to tote it around. Thanks for the interest in the hopper.

An excellent size is 43'×102"×78". Better if it has aluminum underneath for the weight. I have heavy peterbilt and still put 25 tons and get legal on axle weight. You have to be careful or you can be over axle. I put 10.5 up front and 14.5 tons on back? Come out around 79400 to 79800.
