Kevin if it goes well I'll be doing a bunch of it because all the companies around my house are begging to have people hold it till they can't get anybody to do short runs and it pays very well

just make sure you got murphys law factored in, and gig doors on your hopper..... depending on how wet it is.... it might work..... if not...you will never look at flower beds the same again.....

I have hauled a lot of it in a end dump and cant imagine you could get it out of a hopper. Its kinda light and sticks together. I'd say dump, belt or walking floor be only way to go.

Jason, I would not recommend it. However, if you do get ballsy and decide to give it a shot make sure to put a 4" or 6" vertical PVC tube going from your trap door to just below the tarp. This is the trick we used when pulling cottonseed in hoppers. Wasn't perfect but made things easier. Good luck and you're going to sweat on this one!!!

Art, thank you for the thought, but I hauled one hopper load this past Saturday. I put a bunch of 5gal buckets as we loaded the front hopper. It was a 60 mile trip. Got home and the wife drove the truck, I operated the door. It was impossible to get it coming out, Macy just laughed and said get in and start shoveling over the side. I took a pitchfork and bent it on a 90, stuck it in there and helped it all come out as she drove out from 7nder it. I learned my lesson. I need about another 60 yards and my neighbor said he will bring it if I pay for fuel and give him a case of beer.
