I live in Missouri and I know it cost quite a bit less to live here, we charge $110 per hour when we are on contract, and get paid overtime

THATS WHY YOUR IN MISSOURI, ITS ALL ABOUT SUPPLY AND DEMAND, AND GROWTH IN THE MARKET. I AM SURE WE HAVE A LOT MORE GOING ON HERE.

Just curious have you asked anyone why they won't work for that rate ?also if you're talking about supply and demand in your area then the construction work apparently is under contract because it is now summer I would think that you would be paying more because everyone is on a timeline? Just curious

If you have a lot more going on it should cost you even more to hire those trucks than what it costs in Missouri

At least $100/hr. For all of the abuse the truck has to take. Construction is so hard on trucks.

Jason W., We run 3 quinn axle dump trucks in Northwest Ohio which is somewhat close to where you are in Sylvania, maybe we even haul for some of the same customers but to go down to Columbus and work nights hauling asphalt and putting up with the state inspectors, traffic and paying for a place to stay is not worth the $85.00/hr. We haul right in our back yard for better rates than that and we are home every night and don't work nights. We did a local state job at night a while back and me or my trucks will never do it again, especially in Columbus. I know the state pays a premium for doing night work but it never gets passed on to the trucking companies. I am not trying to be disrespectfull at all but you and I both know those rates are weak for that kind of work and situation. I would respectfully say that is why you are'nt getting anyone to do it.
