Bulkloads is currently working on a new version of our Instant Messenger to include key features from Yahoo messenger such as the ability to setup and send to groups. We will also have a desktop and mobile app version in addition to our current web-based messenger.
Here are some of the key features:

- All other Bulkloads members would automatically be in your ‘Friends’ list. - You can remove or block users if you wish.
- Ability to sort friends by user type (Carrier/Broker/Shipper).
- Ability to sort friends by user’s home state.
- Ability to search friends by name or company name
- Ability to create groups of users and send a broadcast message to everyone in the group.

An example of group creation: A Shipper sets up a group for all Carriers based in NE. Once this group is created they could then send a broadcast message to all NE based Carriers that are currently online.

We are also working a new Load Alerts feature. This will allow Carrier users to setup alert profiles on the types of loads they want to be alerted about. For example, if you want to be alerted about Hopper loads originating within 300 miles of Omaha, NE and going to NE, IL or MO. You will then be alerted via text message, email, IM or from our mobile app, whichever you choose.

Please reply with any feedback or ideas for the new Instant Messenger and Load Alerts features.

The best load board I'm on lets me set peramaters such as rate and total pay. I have it set up so it sends me e'mails if the load pays over $2 per mile and over $850, that way I don't get e'mails for loads that pay $5 a mile that only goes 30 miles and is a waste of my day. Since it's just me I don't have time to call a bunch of cheap brokers that seem to think $1.40 is a good rate then ask what i need to haul a load and when i gve them my rate he say they can't pay that. There is no way I'll pay $50 a month to be back on this load board even with the addition of flat loads. There are to many free load boards to look at,
Just my 2 cents worth

I pull a step deck. You have to be an approved carrier or BCO. I mostly haul for Landstar or Mercer

A suggestion that might help rather than create a friend Circle is get back your core beliefs which was only deal with Brokers shippers and truckers that have honesty and integrity this board has gotten completely out of hand it is no better than the rest of the cheap load boards there are too many Brokers on here that have no integrity and who could care less about the rest of us. The hopper Community is totally different from the rest of this sector of the transportation industry. There are quite a few of us in the hopper community that know Freight has not dropped. You have let the typical average do nothing freight broker come on this board and destroy it a lot of men have left is hopper Community because of it, get that in check first then I would suggest worry about a friend list.
