For the butt hurt Millennials

For those of you millennials that are pissed off. This is how the real world works. This is not Bernie's world.

If you all received your education for free, then your education would be devalued. Is this what you want? Free education would lead to lower wages for your generation. We already have enough of that, Hillary and Bernie have been up there for years and yet the working man has seen very few raises since the 80's.

High school is free education for all of us to partake of. We that went to college know that we will usually earn more for our paid education. Why is this? There is a perceived value that you paid the price for that education and deserve to be compensated for such.

If you had that education for free, then companies would no longer be willing to pay you more for that education. In effect Bernie's way would have put the socialistic screw to your whole generation. Instead of being pissed of at us GenX and Baby Boomers for saving your future, you should be thanking us. Please millennials don't end up being like the Baby Boomers and believe all the poop the media and gooberment tells you. The Baby Boomers fell for their lies and allowed them to take their social security, as well as mine, and yours.

You millennials have the chance to change the future as you are much larger than either the GenX or the Baby Boomers. Who is going to support your generation if you all decide to give everything away to those that don't want to work for it. Socialism is a slippery slope to enslavement by the gooberment. Just remember this that nobody truly gets anything in life for free, there is almost always a string attached to the supposed free gift.

Quit crying in the streets that your little feelings are hurt. Be thankful that your generation will learn from this experience and hopefully pave a better future for the next generation. Quit being selfish and thinking about only yourself, think about the entire good of this country.

Most of your professors have never ran a business, or even worked in the real world. We basically have the blind leading the blind here, no wonder you all believe the crap they tell you. In closing there is a program for you to get your education for free. The US military will pay for your education if you sign a contract with them. There is that string that I was talking about, that is how I got my education along with life. So suck it up buttercup and move on.

Well said. I would add that these riots are why the adults don't want the children running the world.

These "children's" parents should be to blame too, obviously they didn't teach their children the value of hard work and working for what you have. Kinda give them that entitled feeling, trust me I'm breaking a step-son of that right now.

We had riots and demonstrations when Mr Obama was elected then again when he was re-elected. The KKK and American Nazi had marches in Houston and Austin. At least 2 Mexican American men were beaten to death here and several Mexican and black men were severely beaten after his re-election.

I said that in order to say this. I don't believe the current madness has anything to do with the election of Mr Trump nor anything to do w ith politics or religion. I believe the current riots and violence are simply a sign of how far our society has fallen.

Yeah you got it all figured out, don't you bud. I get a kick outta guys like you. You spend your entire letter insulting these kids and you wonder why you can't have an intelligent conversation with them. In my opinion, you're wrong. I'm sure that'll be enough for the insults to start heading my way.
To your point, nobody said college was free, except for you. It's been shown that an educated population will be much more successful and provide many benefits to our country so it's a worthwhile investment. All sorts of ideas are out there for funding. These teachers you think so highly of, educate our children to do things like design the trucks we drive or invent rubber compounds that let us drive 2-3 hundred thousand miles on our tires.
Perhaps these lazy, free-loading millenials are thinking that people like Trump, who benefit from our country much more than the rest of us, might like to contribute their fair share to help pay for some of our country's needs. Talk about your lazy, free-loaders, here's a man who's made billions and, by his own admission, has paid no personal income taxes for at least 18 years. He's enjoyed benefits like our cops, firefighters, and military. He's used our highways and people that our tax dollars educated to benefit his companies and not paid one thin dime. He's able to do this because him and people like him spend millions buying off, err I mean lobbying, congressmen to write favorable tax laws.
I sure wish I could have paid no income taxes for the last 18 years. Heck, my little old trucking business would be worth millions too.
Just my opinion and you know what they're like. Everybody's got one.

Good points Jeff. I did not pay for my kids education, they had to earn it on their own. They all have degrees and are working jobs to pay back their loans. One followed in my footsteps and joined the military to pay for her education. My wife is a teacher, so we very well understand what is going on in our educational system. Do you not think it sad that a teacher basically has to have a masters degree in order to get a $1000.00 per year raise? It cost me $18,000 for that master's degree. That was a great investment right there.

You are validating my point on the purpose of paying for the higher education vs. the free education. If the higher education was free, then the corporations would no longer want to pay more for such education. It would be a matter of time before almost nobody would waste their time to get such education (unless it was now forced).

I did not ever say that all millenials were free loaders. The statement was directed at the butt hurt millenials. My kids are millenials and all have degrees and jobs, my nephews work for the railroad, have their own houses, automobiles, and the such and they are under 25. I have freinds that are between the ages of 21 and 35, that are hard working farmers, truckers, and construction workers, as well as business owners. They have not taken offense to anything that I have said.

There is an old expression, if the shoe fits then wear it.

As far as Mr. Trump and his Taxes, I am very sure that he pays quite a bit more than you would think. He just does not most likely pay income taxes. Those of us in business, (farming, trucking, construction) all know that you make a lot of money on paper but you also get a lot of write offs that the average working individual does not get. Is this wrong? Well a lot of us would not take the risk that we take if the tax breaks were not there.

I am not a member of the Kooky Kocks Kan't nor the Bitching Liars Movement, those are both racist hate groups. Individuals that beleive that Islam will treat gays, blacks, whites, women (especially women) equal are just fooling themselves. The Koran states very clearly that any that don't bow to their religion is open game to control or kill. Allowing radical individuals into this country that are full of hatred because we invaded their homeland is nothing short of insane. It is a very dangerous environment to encourage more immigration of these areas. We need to bring our troops back home and concentrate on fixing our own problems.

I will not expect Mr. Trump to fix all of our problems, if he can just get 1/4 of our problems on the right track over the next four years, then kudo's to him and the others. If he is just more of the same and pulled a great Con on all of us. Then he and the others will really have their hands full in four years, quite possibly a full blown revolution. In the mean time we truckers are at the bottom of the deplorable shit pool, we will have to fight for what is ours if we choose to, Freedom with Integrity.

If what I am writing sounds like hatred to you, then it is being read in that way. I am just stating my opinion of what I see currently across our land. It is not just the millenials that expect the free ride, they learned that from our media, the education system, the politicians, and finally a lot of their parents and grandparents as well.

The Constitution does not gurantee anybody in this country free shit, but yet that is somehow the way it is presented to everybody. The Declaration of Independence tells us that we have these rights equally, Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. I nor you should have to pay for somebody's elses rights. This is why our system is broken and in need of repair, a lot of us think it is the gooberments responsibility to provide for our Pursuit of Happiness.

Do you think you should have to pay for my Pursuit?
Should I have to pay for yours?

Sadly depending on who you listen to, I am apparently a millenial. I read this forum, am a tried and true patriot and work my ass off. My brother 7 yeqars my younger also works his ass off and is a true patriot. What sickens me what, really pisses me off, is the fact that like most things nowadays a small very loud minority F**K it up for all of us my age. While I agree my generation for the most part has become numb to manual labor, I am raising my five kids (maybe more on the way) to work their butts off. I have been truely blessed.

You guys/gals are fun to listen to and to watch, and you might be suprised how many of us millenials, are lurking about and as with everything on the MSM/Internet, there is a large silent majority that when its time will again rear its head, sadly many of us are working our asses off to get the American dream and are so busy making a living we cant protest and fight but we do vote.

Ok I have been, rightly, once accused of lumping people in a pot. I learned. The Millenials as a group are discouraging to say the least, but that does not mean that there aren't any with the right morals and ethics. Possibly "Larry" is an exception not a rule. Honestly without understanding Gen X and millenial as a term hiring people with acceptable ethics is difficult. Age doesn't matter. People think they are owed!!!
As far as treating each other better.....Look at youtube, watch the news, until people can treat animals with at least a minimum of live and let live attitude we are doomed. I have learned that if I hire a driver that doesn't take care of his own personal vehicle he won't take care of mine. If a person is willing to physically abuse an animal (cats and dogs) he won't treat ANYONE with any type of respect. I eat cows, pigs, chickens. I only ask that they are killed with some care. People that burn and mutilate a dog or cat...wish I could do the same for them. I have high hopes for President elect Trump. I hope he can attempt to restore us to a society that I can be proud of. I truly am losing hope in our "Society" as a whole.
I have lost interest in helping people. It has only bit me on any level. I will risk myself to help animals. I have 6 rescue cats. Love them all....most of the time. however I have found that I can not save all that I see, but I try to keep cat and dog food with me to try to help.

Keep up the good work. I believe this to be a multi generational issue. Those that believe the Constitution promises them the right to free shit are way off base. It is quite clear that those of us that work support those that don't. This is how the puppet masters designed it and want it. For those of us that believe it is ok to work, sweat, and enjoy the fruit of our labor, there is nothing wrong with you. Regardless of your age group. It will be up to this younger generation as to the future of this nation. We will either continue on in a free spending, tax the workers and pad the rich and poor. Maybe we may actually choose to change and manage what we rightfully produce and earn more wisely. It is solely up to us as a nation together unified instead of being divided.

Hard to believe anyone in business can believe trump doesn't pay taxes. If you have a huge loss then it might take several years before you become profitable again. But if you own property you pay taxes. If you employ people you pay taxes. If you consume things you pay taxes. I would imagine trump has paid a whole lot more taxes than any of us can imagine but some choose not to think that through.

100% agree. So many people make a big deal out of not paying "income tax" as a business owner. I can assure you that there are many taxes that are paid by business owners that are not paid by the average joe. In the case of Trump, it would be interesting to know how many dollars each year are paid by him in property taxes as well as the 50% share of each emplyees social security.

Kind of like every time there is a new regulation put on business by the ever growing government, this is essentially a tax on every single consumer in the country. But they didn't "raise your taxes", they just figured out another way to get more money out of your pocket.

I don't know where anyone got the idea that I said Trump paid no taxes. If you'll read my post you'll see that I stated he paid no personal income taxes. I assume he's paid property tax, sales tax, perhaps fuel tax, FET tax and others just like the rest of us, but then I assumed he paid income tax too, so who knows. As far as employee withholding tax, employers do match the social security withholding, bur the majority of withholding taxes come from the employee's check. It's money they earned that is withheld from them. Just because Trump may have paid other taxes should not let him off the hook for income taxes. I'm going to try that argument at my IRS office. I think I've paid enough other taxes, I shouldn't have to pay any income tax.
To my original point, I'm not talking about legitimate business deductions, such as a new tractor or trailer. I'm talking about wealthy people like Trump who spend millions lobbying congress to write tax loopholes that allow them to amass personal fortunes such as Trump's, which is estimated at 3.5 billion, and not pay a dime in personal income tax for at least 18 years. That should be criminal. I don't think he has any intention of pushing fairer tax laws. I think he'll make it worse, but I'll keep plugging away just like we all do.
