This article that was just posted on the home page is just plain stupid why is it that people who've never driven a tractor trailer think they are some kinda expert on truck safety anyway or think they have a handle on what the American trucking industry even looks like totally different from the outside looking in these idiots need something else to do with their lives

When getting a drivers license used to be a privilage.. today it is a right..and this person complained that it was the truck drivers fault in these accidents..SAD thing is that most of these accidents were cause by cars..and them not paying attention or think they dont want to behind a truck and will do anything and everything to prevent that fact......but thats not the problem..its always the big trucks fault...but but they work 80 hours a week...and with many workers with working...driving home...is in excess of 80 hours a week...but we cant talk about that one..SAD thing is that the ratio of drivers falling asleep ..there are more automobile drivers by far...and that are drunk...or high on something...but we dont need to address that..its those big nasty truckers that are the problem...sorry for your loss lady..but your dad wasnt paying attention.. and wasnt driving to the road conditions..what if he hit a deer.. or somebodys livestock that got loose...would we then have to put reflective tape on them too? Or that train that was crossing the road? Or that guy who just happened to have to walk home... WHEN IS REALITY GOING TO STEP IN HERE AND COMMON SENCE? Or has it been lost someplace in a law for safety?

Agree with you totally, how many times have you had a car go around you and then less than a quarter mile up the road hit there brakes not using there turn signal to make a right turn and all of a sudden there u are having to mash on your brakes!

Or worse they want to make a left turn and come to a dead stop. Bout 3 years ago I was headed west on 80 out by Seward and some lady felt the need to slam on the brakes in the hammer lane because Dot was behind her with his lights on. Can't move over to the shoulder or use any common sense just slam on the brakes brought 3/4 of a mile of traffic behind her to a dead stop. Trucks taking the shoulder the median every way but straight ahead. But as previously stated we are the problem
