Fair wage for driver

Folks, New to the OTR industry and looking for some advice as im currently having trouble hiring drivers for my trucks. I have a route going from New York to Ohio and back. 500 miles each way, just under 8 hour direct drive. Trailer is attached and loaded when you start the day and there is no backhaul. Unload time is about 30-45 minutes. Whats a desirable wage to pay someone to do this? Shoukd i be looking at about $2,500 for 3 trips per week? Regards
