I’m just cruising from Dallas through Texarkana, and up into Southern Missouri this weekend, yes we are working. I’ve gotta say, you guys running hoppers around Arkansas have some of the nicest equipment I’ve seen. Kudos to the you! If any of y’all were heading south in a group with Black Petes with Black hoppers all matching units, three of us passed y’all heading north pulling tanks. Can someone let me know the secret sauce for hoppin through Arkansas? Gotta be makin money! You mid west guys have some nice equipment too, it just seemed like all of the ones we passed looked very nice. We’re headed back to Dallas for another one Monday morning. Have a good holiday weekend everyone😉

You know the secret! You are out on a holiday weekend to provide your customers good service! With good service comes the rewards of higher rates. with higher rates comes the ability to afford decent equipment and so the circle continues!

Dirty little secret?! We don't book much off of load boards. Maybe 3-5% of all loads are booked off load boards. The bulk of our loads are booked through repeat customers and trusted brokers in other areas of the country. There really is no secret sauce, just a good work ethic and the center of the country has that!

Just my opinion

The shippers pay the same rate to the pretty truck as they do the ugly one, but if you don’t have a family to support that money can go for chrome.

I don’t think they do mister, if I learned anything in truck driving school, it was the nicer the truck the higher the rate. Additionally Peterbilts get the best rates followed by Kenworth. Freightliner and Volvo are tied for last place😎 Before anyone spins up, it was a JOKE🤦😂 Have a good day everybody..😉

😂😂. That's a good one. YouTube and the truck simulator game is how I learned to drive. Now that I have that mastered, I think I'm gonna start a dispatch service! Gotta go, they are running a special today on YouTube dispatcher training. I should have my Masters in Truck Dispatching by dinner time.😉

Oh yea, the cliff notes of the latest podcast on grain merchandising:

1. Come up with multiple was to say, "that's too much".

2. Buy Low

3. Sell high

4. Truck it cheap

5. Collect the money..

You can learn anything on YouTube, or Podcasts...😂😂😂

What I learned in broker school is the importance of driving home the narrative of a trucker shortage, it’s a most important tool for pushing rates higher when dealing with a cheap skate, he,he.

Ok, what's up with the red negatives on the comments? Step up and join in the fun. Let everyone know what the problem with the comments are and what your point of view is. This has been a very light hearted thread. To take a quote from your dear old Uncle Joe, "Come on Man"..😂

I’ve watched people play that game on youtube. It seems like those who play it often have quite a bit of money tied up in their equipment. I know what your sayingI can’t play a car driving game without crashing into everything😂

I’ve never understood why rates in Florida are the way they are. Back in the 90’s I hauled air freight from Houston to Miami, and then produce back to Houston. I could make that run every week. I really enjoyed running Florida, and have made a few hopper trips over there. It’ just very hard to get a decent rate out if there is no produce running. It is a mecca for boat hauling though. I did pretty good moving boats out of there until everybody and their brother got a boat hauling trailer.

It’s Sunday afternoon and I hope everyone had a good weekend. I’m getting ready to head out for the for another couple of back to back Dallas to Piedmont, Mo. loads. If you see us on I-30, give us a shout, unlike most others these days we always have our radios on. Someone made a TicToc video of us last week. I’m not a TicTocer myself but it goes to show someone is always watching. I’ll post a link below for anyone interested. I’m the middle truck, just in case you are wondering. Have a good week everyone, and safe travels.
