There is no reason to give away a percentage of your freight when rates are not great in the first place! I don't believe in quick pay or factoring!

A line of credit from your bank is a much better situation than quick pays and faactoring. The only time I considered factoring was when my best customer at the time was using ReTrans as their third party billing service. ReTrans was paying extremely late time and time again. Like 60+ days late! After a month, it would not be uncommon to have over 30k in open invoices. I decided to look into factoring just to give myself piece of mind in case ReTrans (or their owners Kuehne Nagel) went under and beat me on my money. I quickly learned that on the surface factoring looks like a fair deal but once you READ the fine print (ALL OF IT) you begin to get the total ugly picture.

Absolutely! A line of credit from your bank is a much better situation than quick pays and faactoring. The only time I considered factoring was when my best customer at the time was using ReTrans as their third party billing service. ReTrans was paying extremely late time and time again. Like 60+ days late! After a month, it would not be uncommon to have over 30k in open invoices. I decided to look into factoring just to give myself piece of mind in case ReTrans (or their owners Kuehne Nagel) went under and beat me on my money. I quickly learned that on the surface factoring looks like a fair deal but once you READ the fine print (ALL OF IT) you begin to get the total ugly picture.
