We recently had a driver who abandoned a truck and load in Logan Ks.,I cant tell you his name was Phillip White,but anyway day one he tears the drive line out from underneath the truck in the 4 weeks he was here he never once made it out of the house on Monday on time,which set him back all week,had a piss poor attitude,and he also held onto the paperwork for loads he delivered so now we have to go back and try and get new paperwork from shippers I would advise steering clear of this guy.It seems he has a history of this kind of stuff,from talking to previous employers.

Well some of the information was gathered after the fact,as some companies do not find it a priority to respond in a timely manner with refferance requests,but either way the post was not to bash anybody it was merely to help other people out here from having these same issues.If we all stuck together and tried to look out for one another we might all be in a better position.Take it for what its worth.

In all reality it’s just another government regulation that doesn’t work. Sometimes employers who are desperate to hold onto their drivers will bad mouth drivers to try and prevent their escape, and other times they will give a problem child a good reference in order to sabotage a competitor. It feels like a race to the bottom in the hopper industry right now.

You did find the answer. I parked the trucks and life got better. There are good people in the industry, but it's tough for small operators. It feels like a race to the bottom in the hopper industry right now.

If a driver deserves the praise, he will get the praise. If he deserves a bad recomendation, he will get the bad recomendation. Art, some offices are as bad as the drivers. We try to return the employment history's with in 30 minutes and will not sugar coat anything. If a driver deserves the praise, he will get the praise. If he deserves a bad recomendation, he will get the bad recomendation.

I really think the days of the old dinosaurs with integrity and guts to call a spade a spade have gone past, but here we are trying to bring that way back!
