I'd stick with a tandem axle if you plan to go across the border, I not sure about Canada but in the US the weight / axle laws change so much from area to area. A tandem is simple 80k lbs everywhere. Unless you plan on running in a specific state/states then I'd read up on there laws and get something that fits

Posted by a private BulkLoads.com member. i run loads from both sides, equipment wise if you are sticking to the north ND, MT you would want to look at a tridem or super B and get some over weight permits, anything lower you would want a tandem due to american wieght restrictions such as fert. or out of MN. Tandems are great for their areas but you won't get a rate that makes a tandem work if there ore tridems and super b's to be had.
