LP Shortage

Have been reading about the LP shortage in Iowa and the surrounding area. Is this a shortage of product or trucks? If I wanted to send some trucks that way from Indiana does anyone know of some contacts they would be willing to share?

We were unable to get lp for over three weeks, here in iowa. I was told a pipeline had been shut down. There is lp for the pig houses, bun not for drying corn. Some one said the big oil companys dont want to buy the ethonal, and they are the ones providing the lp to dry the corn and produce the ethanal. Looks like a conflict of interest.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here. I think the shortage is fake. As far as the giant surge of gas needed for drying corn is concerned, EVERYBODY knew it was coming. I'd say as far back as june, agriculture knew that we would be drying corn thanks to record low temperatures and record high precipitation. Farmers and all propane users contracted the hell out of their propane waaaaay ahead of time. I don't see how there was a shortage. A delay could have been understandable, but not a flat out lack of product. Just my opinion. I think its just another way to gouge the crap out of people. But maybe I just have a negative attitude, so I'm down for hearing why I'm wrong.

Is the propane being shipped out of the us? Or in? If its shipped out, seems shady to export propane to another country when the propane was purchased by an American 6 months ago, and never delivered. Maybe I'm misunderstanding?
