Spread axle or Tri ?

Always had a hard time getting trailer to axle out. Lots of dumping and adding in, bumping and shoveling. So spread or tri seems way to roll with no worries of over weight axles.

You're going to run into the same problem as a tandem, maybe more because when you're loading you have your tag up. So you'll grossly overload the tandem until you put the tag down.( 8,000# minimum) Then you're going to transfer weight to the drivers.

I'm in New England , we run tandem and tri axles ,tankers dump trailers , 99,000gross weight on 5 axles legal in MA ,RI only need tri axle trailer for VT,NH,ME and NY , CT is only 80,000, my time running flatbeds and refer trailers up and the east coast on 5 axles was always a pain especially if your from New England and axle weights aren't enforced , spread axle 40,000 but get around town horribly, tight tandem playing games with sliding axles and 5th wheels , seems to me if I had to leave New England and run the road again with only 80,000gross weights , I'd want a tri axle , 50,000 on the 3 trailer trailer axles , just load and go , your tare weight would be a little heavier ,but like the man says , and I don't know bushels ,I know gallons and tons , if a few bushel is gonna make or break you ,find something else to haul ., me personally, I hate spread axle tandems .

Even if it's axled correct when you're at the elevator or plant, by the time you have to brake for a four wheeler or bounce around the rough ass hiway, it's gonna move by the time you get to the chicken house anyway. Save the trouble and drive around them anyway.

I ran spread axle on end dumps but not grain. I was thinking spread on hopper would be good. Then I saw the tri. Probably go with spread since I know more about that. Thanks for info
