If a shipper hires trucks to haul its cargo to customers, does it require a brokers license to do so?

Nope. Only if they're "brokering"/arranging a load for someone else....if it's their stuff, they're just the customer/shipper needing their stuff moved. (like when you go to UPS to mail something, you don't need to be a broker, but if you ask UPS to move a load somewhere for someone, you would need to be a broker) |
