I am sorry I forget there?s people on hear that don?t pull a hopper but first of all. Oats weigh 32lb a bushel so industry standard for hoppers is now 52,000 net (if you can?t haul at least this you should be hauling boats not something your payed by the net. Let?s stop there maybe you don?t no what net means? Net is what you haul in the trailer. So 52,000net/32lb(oats)=1,625 bushels So 1,625X$0.70=$1,137.50 and $1,137.50/488miles=$2.33 a mile. I hope this make sense to you.

Except that your $2.33 per mile is loaded miles, and not running miles. To me, that is a low-ball, cut-throat rate.

First of all a over the road Hopper is not going to get 52,000 net , most of the over the road hopper truck are doing good if they can NET 51000 and 2.33 a mile is not a bad rate till you end up in KS City , that a inport Town , and if you do find a load out of there is a lot lest the 2.25 a mile , so i can see why you are still working on them , , BUT if you where paying 2.33 a mile to Fargo , Grand Forks , they would of been gone the first 20 minutes you have them posted
GOOD LUCK |
