Truckers like Lexington, Kentucky-based owner-operator Chad Boblett said truckers have suffered "a bloodbath" in 2019. This year alone, some 2,500 truck drivers have lost their jobs as trucking companies large and small declare bankruptcy. Major carriers like J.B. Hunt, Knight-Swift, and Schneider have been forced to cut their annual outlooks.
