On the surface, racism isn’t as blatant as it once was in the trucking industry, according to Lawrence E. Bell of Pittsburg, Texas, who has been a truck driver for about 10 years. While racial slurs are not as prevalent on the CB as they were 10 years ago, Bell said some truck drivers now hide behind their computers and post racially insensitive comments anonymously on social media.
