A legal shipment of industrial hemp was seized by the New York Police Department last week when a FedEx employee reported the shipment to the 75th precinct in Brooklyn. “Our client sent this hundred, little over 100 pounds for shipment with FedEx, to New York City, and FedEx called the local police here and Wilson, Vermont. The Wilson police came and looked and open the packages and saw the certificates of analysis and said, this is fine. This is legal, there's no problem, and gave it back to FedEx,” says Andrew Subin, the attorney for the Vermont-based Fox Holler Farms that grew the legal industrial hemp.
