National Truck Driver Appreciation Week to begin Sept 8.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is celebrated Sept. 8 through Sept. 14, according to the American Trucking Associations (ATA).The ATA says the week is celebrated "to honor all professional truck drivers for their hard work and commitment in tackling one of our economy's most demanding and important jobs." The association says more than three million are truck drivers who "not only deliver our goods safely, securely and on time, they also keep our highways safe." The Virginia Department of Transportation in Lynchburg also tweeted out thanking truck drivers for all they do.
