TRUCKER SUES CBD GUMMY COMPANY AFTER LOSING HIS JOB

Trevor Darrow, a truck driver in Illinois, recently filed a class-action lawsuit against Just Brands USA after he failed a drug test and lost his job. Just Brands USA is a CBD candy maker based out of Florida. Darrow says that Just Brands USA violated the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Trade Practices Act by labeling their products “No THC,” when he claims that they do. According to the suit, Darrow purchased watermelon rings from Just Brands USA in July to combat his sleeplessness. When Darrow was asked to take a drug test later by his employer, he failed due to the presence of THC which he attributes to the gummy candies. The lawsuit is open to Illinois consumers who have purchased CBD products with the label “No THC” from Just Brands USA within the last three years.
