JEFFERSON CITY — Truck drivers gathered at the Capitol building in Jefferson City Tuesday morning to push for a new bill that would prohibit driverless or autonomous trucks in Missouri. This comes after several states have adopted the self-driving vehicles. Event organizer Billy Bogar said as a truck driver himself, these trucks would directly affect his career. "This is my job," Bogar said. "I mean, once these things come in, I'm done; I'm out. Most of these people coming in today are literally a week out of being out of business."
