Trucking industry has always paid

Mar 31, 2019 at 12:28 PM CST

On average in Ohio, each truck pays $14,806 per year, compared to less than $275 for automobiles. In addition, the trucking industry pays fuel tax to the state in which fuel is used, not the state in which the fuel was purchased. Furthermore, automobiles have continually seen increases in fuel efficiency that trucks have not seen. This increases the burden on trucks.
