Brooklyn Trucker Wins $298 Million Powerball Jackpot

New York truck driver, David Johnson, recently won the second largest Powerball Jackpot in New York Lottery history; totaling $298.3 million. In regards to his job, David says, “I’m not going to work, I’m quitting right away!” He adds, “I can’t even eat. I start and can’t finish my food. I’m happy with joy inside.” Johnson works across the street from the gas station where he purchased his winning ticket. He said he was aware the Powerball winner went to the same location; however, he didn’t realize it was him until he checked his ticket a few days later! The New York Lottery is North America’s largest and most profitable lottery and provides close to 13% of total state education aid to local school districts.
