Ethanol is a biofuel, and in the United States, corn is the primary ingredient in the energy commodity that refiners blend with the gasoline that powers our automobiles. While the mixture contains around 90% oil-based gasoline and 10% ethanol, the Trump administration recently lifted the ban on E-15 which is a blend of 15% of the biofuel.
