Fewer corn and wheat bushels expected to be harvested in North Dakota

Based on August 1 conditions, North Dakota’s 2020 spring wheat crop is forecast at 281 million bushels, down 4% from last year, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Harvested acreage is estimated at 5.85 million acres, down 2% from a year ago. Corn production is forecast at 341 million bushels, down 17% from 2019. Acreages to be harvested for grain is estimated at 2.20 million acres, down 30% from last year
