Frac sand producers in the United States are raising prices due to stronger demand, higher oil prices, and an improving outlook for the fracking industry, Oil and Gas Investor reports. Fracking companies were hit hard in 2014 when the price of a barrel of oil dropped from more than $100 per barrel to approximately $26 per barrel in February 2016.
