Freight harder to come by, but pays well when found

For July, the American Trucking Associations (ATA) reported a decline of 1.2% in its seasonally adjusted For-Hire Trucking Index. The drop follows a 2% decline in June. The ATA index compares freight volumes reported by its membership with data from year 2015. The July index of 109.8 indicates that freight volumes in the month were 9.8% higher than they were during the same time period in 2015.
