Grain elevator explodes in Nebraska

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KCAU) -- There are reports of a grain elevator explosion in South Sioux City, Nebraska.

A witness told Nexstar contributing station KCAU that they saw smoke billowing but that they weren't close enough to see any flames.

So far, several area residents have reported a massive explosion during the afternoon.

It reportedly happened on the west side of the city.

Crews are on scene and ask that people stay clear of the area.
