(WKRC) ROSS TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - A 70-year-old Ross Township man is home safe after a daring rescue that saved him from suffocating in a grain silo. Jay Butterfield thought he would not make it out of that silo alive. "I didn't think they were going to save me I thought I was done,” said Butterfield, speaking about what happened Thursday inside his grain silo. He had climbed in to loosen beans but had no idea he was standing on a crust that suddenly gave way. "The grain just went off right underneath of me,” continued Butterfield.
