Interstate Commodities filed for bankruptcy protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Albany Wednesday looking to save a family business that at one time sold more than 30 commodities around the world, operating grain facilities, fertilizer plants and managing 10,000 rail cars and five repair shops.
