Premier Cooperative has announced its plans to build a new, state-of-the-art feed manufacturing facility attached to its grain facility on the north side of Westby. “Combining the new facility with the existing grain plant reduces the need for additional costly grain storage while eliminating the expense associated with daily trucking of grain to the current mills," Andy Fiene, CEO, Premier Cooperative, said. Construction will start this spring and it will take about 15 months to complete. “At about $9 million, this will be Premier’s single largest infrastructure investment in its 123-year history," Fiene said. “The board of directors and employees of Premier are proud to have the kind of support from our members that allows us to make such an investment in the future of animal agriculture in the area.” |
