Seven Northwest Iowa grain elevators to revert to coop ownership

WEST BEND, Iowa | Seven Northwest Iowa grain elevators owned by farmers cooperatives until being sold in 2008 are expected to revert back to coops by May 1.

MaxYield Cooperative, based in West Bend, Iowa, is acquiring the elevators in Superior, Gruver, Milford, Everly, Spencer, Langdon and Greenville, Iowa, and an LP gas storage facility in Royal from The Andersons, a publicly-traded agri-business giant headquartered in Ohio.
