Shippers Can Expect Report on Detention Time, Not Rule

Jan 12, 2017 at 01:43 PM CST

According to Robert Miller, director of policy, strategic planning and regulation at the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, shippers can expect feedback, or a report, on driver detention time but shouldn’t expect the matter to be regulated.

“This is an opportunity for someone other than the government to get involved in finding solutions,” Miller said while speaking at the annual meeting of the Transportation Research Board.
