CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The U.S. Transportation Department is aiming to ease drive-time rules for truckers nationwide. The move comes on the heels of the anniversary of a tragic truck accident on I-75 in Ooltewah. In 2015, six people were killed and many more injured after an impaired and fatigued truck driver crashed his truck into stopped traffic. A jury found the driver who caused the wreck, Benjamin Brewer, guilty in January, 2018.
