Even as turnover at large truckload carriers dropped in the third quarter of 2018, a majority of carriers still expect driver compensation packages to increase, with one-quarter of those in a new survey saying pay needs to reach $100,000 before it has a material impact on turnover. |

I agree with that but with all the sitting around time and ELD restictions it is pretty hard for a truck to get 125,000 a year any more. that comes out to about $1.00/mi to the driver. With these rates at $2.00 a running mile or in most cases less than that, does not cover cost of running a truck. I big repair bill that is not in the normal maintenance bill would bankrupt that truck.
