The state will receive $160,000 from trucking tycoon Bill Hall Jr.’s estate under an agreed judgment approved by Bexar County Probate Judge Tom Rickhoff signed this week.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality had sued the estate seeking to recover more than $200,000 in grant money it provided Hall to purchase 13 environmentally friendly trucks. Hall received $476,631 in grant money, but the company failed to operate the trucks for the length the full term of the contracts, the lawsuit charged.
