stainless hopper weight

Posted by a private BulkLoads.com member.	Posted by a private BulkLoads.com member. I am looking at a wilson hopper for sale with stainless sides. Does anyone have any info on these trailers? Does it weigh more than aluminum sides is what im really trying to find out.

Posted by a private BulkLoads.com member.	Posted by a private BulkLoads.com member. Aluminum trailers are going to weight quite a bit less than a steel trailer - less weight means more bank. A 42' Jet Steel grain trailer weighs 9,905 lbs. However, a jet aluminum 42' grain trailer weighs 8,175 lbs.

Posted by a private BulkLoads.com member.	Posted by a private BulkLoads.com member. I HAVE A 2007 STAINLESS SIDE TIMPTE. IT ONLY ADDED ABOUT 400 TO 500 POUNDS OVER AN ALUMINUM SIDED TRAILER. WITH MY 200O CLASSIC XL FLAT TOP WITH A 3406E CAT EMPTY IS 27700 WITH 100 GALLON OF FUEL.

We pull a aluminum cornhusker and have a 95 International 9200 and we come across the scales at approximately 27,500 lbs with about 100 gallons of fuel on.
