About 49.3 million people will hit the nation's roadways this Thanksgiving Day holiday as compared with 48.5 million in 2018, representing a 2.8% increase and the highest volume of travelers since 2005. The data comes from AAA in collaboration with INRIX, a global transportation analytics company. With record levels of travelers, these experts predict major delays throughout the week, peaking on Wednesday (Nov. 27) with trips taking as much as four times longer than usual.
