Cargill investing $50 million in Wichita soybean plant

Cargill Inc. on Tuesday announced that it plans to invest $50 million to upgrade and increase the capacity of its soybean processing plant on North Mosley in Wichita.

The project is expected to be completed in 2017.

It will include upgrades to the plant’s processing equipment, automation and controls, utilities and more.

Total capacity is expected to be increased about 30 percent.
