Corn production in 2020 expected to rise to new heights

Corn producers in the Texas Panhandle are banking on an increase in international exports to help offset prices remaining flat. Conditions appear right for a large supply of corn to be exported in 2020, but questions about a global public health emergency leaving some wondering how much seed or kernel to plant. “We hope for good yields and good yields will turn to a good profit,” said Dustin Babcock, farmer. “I think the biggest struggle with corn in 2019, was the wet conditions at harvest. We had a wet fall and we struggled to get the crop out.”
