Pennsylvania-based Preferred Proppants, LLC (Preferred Sands) plans to open an “in-basin” frac sand mine in Oakwood, Okla., to serve drilling operations in Oklahoma’s STACK and SCOOP plays, newsokreports. Plans are for the plant to go online in the third quarter of 2018
