Ukraine war creates more uncertainty for Ohio farmers as gas, grain, fertilizer costs rise

The 2020s have not been kind to Ohio farmers. The already uncertain profession was made more difficult when COVID-19 struck the U.S. two years ago. What followed was supply chain slowdowns induced by a global market reeling to halt the spread of the deadly virus. This coupled with an ongoing labor shortage and deteriorating conditions caused by global climate change put farmers in a tight spot.
