Hello Family
Happy Sunday
Questions:
Any suggestions of rates for hazardous materials being shipped in stainless steel trailers???
We are a small carrier based out the North East region who are looking for broker or shippers that works with new motor carriers.
We have five years of experience leases to a private carrier and now is we are currently independent.
All suggestions are appreciate and feedbacks are welcomed.

My rates and FSC are based on the current CPM to run the truck, including, but not limited to the cost of maintenance, Tires, Parts, Labor $/hour, Driver expense (O-O or Employed are different CPM), Insurance - ALL TYPES, washes, tolls, PrePass, Administrative costs, permits, fees, membeships, office costs, licensing, etc. Once you know your CPM, then you can build rates that provide profitability. If the broker/customer doesn't like my rate, that's O.K. - there are approximately 14.93 loads per truck/day available. It costs less to sit for a day, than to run at a loss of revenue. I don't like to sit, and we don't stay still for long. |
